Finished and life is very different

Wow did I fall off the wagon in terms of keeping a journal about my journey through the bootcamp. I don’t have any excuse until about week six.

On week six we had the TA, or as I affectionately called it “the $10,000 test”. It was pass/fail meaning if you passed you continue with the program and if you fail then you are done with the program and you don’t get you money back. Luckily I passed and headed into solo week extremely excited for the senior phase of the program.

Then tragedy struck as my friend of 15 years and roommate for the last three was killed in a car accident. It has been two months since then and still I am overcome with grief typing that now. That led me to having to move out during the program for living there would have certainly been difficult. I finished up the program living with my oh so gracious parents who are luckily empty nesters and had a place for me to work while I finished the immersive.

I then was given the opportunity to become a SEIR (basically a TA) which is a paid position that I am currently holding. Right after the program ended I moved in with my girlfriend of a year and am now job searching while also being a TA, looking for a position doing what I’ve learned in the immersive.
